SUVs like this one, with increased ground clearance, are more likely to ride-up and roll over. As well as 80% more likely to kill a child with increased bonnet heights

They also need to end!

The fundamental flaw of Alex Cole-Hamilton is not that he's English, or a Lib Dem, or anti-independence; but that he is, simply, an insufferable cunt

Daleks have an ability to deal with parked cars on cyclepaths that is sadly not available to cyclists.

Is is actually about composting, or is it really about occult CIA infiltration of the communist sympathisers in the composting community. Been caught out before by this sort of bait and switch.

When we go to hospital, it’s rarely for something easy. But patients and their families are being immediately met with unreliable/disjoint public transport, lack of safe active travel options, and increasing bus/rail fares. And these fares are going up while investment in public/active travel isn't!

Three arrangements of driftwood on Portobello Beach. One a large nest of wood balanced atop a single branch, another looks like a sailing boat. The third may just be a log to sit on, not sure. Looking out to sea, Berwick Law just visible on the horizon.

A trio of Robert Tinney illustrated magazine covers: Floppy Disk, Software Piracy, Smalltalk Balloon

I wrote a tribute for BYTE Magazine's amazing cover artist, Robert Tinney, who died Feb 1st

Tinney painted 80 vivid and surreal covers illustrating various concepts in early personal computing from 1978-1990, usually airbrushed with gouache. May he RIP ❀️

Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientistβ€”because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
