I really like Stearns' other movies too, The Art of Self-Defense and Dual. Recommend if you haven't seen. They veer more towards absurdity and quirkiness than Faults, but are still recognizably from the same guy.

Also this short (made before Faults) is kinda fun: youtu.be/Xf1L-bxtTgc

#NowRewatching Riley Stearns' debut feature Faults (2014), a criminally underseen movie.

The Nekala Cultural Center in Tampere is having its grand opening, and one of the installations includes three experimental short films by local filmmakers.

So #NowWatching Taija Goldblatt's Ocean's Skeleton, Leena Lehti's Existence III, and Sanni Priha's Farewell to Snow - Snowplay.

I was wrong, it was a little more than the one shot. These guys break it down a little: youtu.be/2ZKPnuUFwOk

I think it's basically that one scene they were missing, and that one shot in front of the bars used existing footage but was heavily CGI-augmented.

Yes, Oliver Reed passed away in the middle of filming. They cobbled together what they needed from existing footage, a body double, and a couple of CGI-enhanced shots. #FThisMovieFest

The CGI Oliver Reed is a little uncanny valley, but still an amazing feat to get it looking that good with 2000 technology. #FThisMovieFest

Shout out to the Danish Sven-Ole Thorsen, who got a small role in Conan the Barbarian because he was a bodybuilding friend of Arnold's and spun that off into a multi-decade career as an actor and stuntman. And he seems like a cool dude. #FThisMovieFest
