Actually, this reminds me of a recent thought I had in which I was like, "Let's play around with scars and tattoos since I've underutilize that as character design," but then it also occurs to me they're storytelling and spoilers in itself, so basically, it literally is no foreplay without loreplay-

I think the funniest part about looking at the TSDD pages that have been finished so far is that because I work out of order, I can tell which pages I did in early 2025 before my crash and burn in mid 2025 vs. the ones I’m doing now.

I've done comics in general for long enough to know that conventional wisdom dictates you should expend perhaps 50% of your base artistic skill and effort on your average comic panel, and perhaps 70% on something particularly important, but I clearly went against my better judgment and suffered.

It also kinda ended up making sense as far as what my dad was like as a kid, what his tastes still are, etc.

It’s not worth anything at all given various historical events, but in hindsight, it’s made a lot of sense in her demeanor, wanting to teach me more manners and the fact that at one point she really wanted me to call my parents as mother and father.

It’s historically loaded and complicated, but the TLDR is that I have blue blood from one of my grandmas.

The fact that you’re hand drawing all of this is both like wow I’m getting carpel tunnel just looking at this but also equally impressive 🙏

I’ve also been underutilizing scars and tattoos to be honest, though a part of the reason is that almost everyone is dressed modestly anyway so you wouldn’t be able to see them most of the time except for maybe Kieran who has it over his entire hands and forearms.

I feel like this is going to be a nightmare to do in a comic unless I specifically go out of my way to make CSP assets for them, but with my sister being a nail tech, I’ve been looking at more nail designs myself, and I’m like damn, they’re pretty underutilized as far as character designs go.

As a femme presenting person with almost no discernible waist, I die a little inside every time I have to go a size up just because of my waist, only to have the chest measurements of the dress become comically large 💀💀💀
