💖 I love that the Kan-Kan still has their glowing hearts up. IYKYK… I’m a total sucker for a group activity! At Creative Mornings, we had folks write what they love about Indy on paper hearts. Loved reading the shout out to the cultural trail, Monon, canal, Indy Parks, arts community… etc. ✨
Poster which shows color photo scene of moving, a room with boxes and clothes sitting on the floor, a chair, and the end of a bed (white rails forming a headrest and a mattress with a red cover). The text of the poster is: "Impact (small logo top left)," "According to a new survey by the Movement Advancement Project, approximately 401,000 transgender people have relocated from one U.S. state to another since the 2024 presidential election." "The mass relocations in 2025 due to safety concerns, political conditions, and anti-trans laws nd policies have largely impacted conservative states across the country."

Potholes are God's way of bypassing the NIMBYs and doing traffic calming
Mayor Hogsett's metropolitan development staff recommended APPROVING a data center with 36 diesel powered electrical generators and thousands of gallons of fuel storage over the objections of the historically Black neighborhood of Martindale-Brightwood
Kristi Noem misattributing a paraphrase of Rudyard Kipling to George Orwell really does sum it all up huh

🪄 I’m still floating from yesterday’s Galentine’s Day fundraiser for Andrea Hunley 💖 Women are magic, as are our friendships 🥰🥹 We raised nearly 5k in a unique, grassroots way. And baby, it’s just the beginning! LFG.
Words matter. How we talk about traffic violence matters.
Crash, not accident. Driver, not car.

If you’re at a downtown intersection and you push a crosswalk button, you may notice the walk signal three to seven seconds before the light turns green in any direction. This is called a Leading Pedestrian Interval or LPI.

Martindale-Brightwood Data Center Hearing
Councilor Jesse Brown spoke eloquently that the community is HIS boss and all of their bosses
The Hearing Examiner later correct Jesse and said she has no boss and doesn't ANSWER TO ANY OF US!!!
Indianapolis City Government at work
The thing is, we really do want independent arbiters like the MDC Hearing examiners, who can't be fired (ie don't have a boss) for not doing what they're told. The problem is with the electeds appointing an arbiter who consistently values corporate interests over community input
Summary for February 9-15, 2026

* 5 involved non-vulnerable road users

black vehicle and a sport cyclist wearing black Both are wearing black but only one gets blamed for it. Drivers might not see you but we do.
In addition to straight advocacy work I also develop brand creative - this specific example is where advocacy and brand meet - this was for a cycling magazine (hence the sport cyclist)

In one of our signal chats, a neighbor calls these “fuckaroundabouts”
Child at the podium: “A woo woo woo.”
Mamdani: That’s how I felt when we came up with this plan. Together, we will expand the idea of what is possible in our city—and what sounds and noises we can make at a press conference.
From @acyn.bsky.social (posted on X)
"Reporter: Do any of you have a favorite animal?
Child: My favorite one is a gold snake that can move. It has gold eyes, and it has a super-duper tail…
Reporter: Mr. Mamdani, the second question for you.
Mamdani: Yes. It’s also the golden snake."
American Tower Corp. withdrew their petition to build a 20,000-square-foot data center on land they own in Pike Township.
The company is waiting for the city to set data center regulations before reapplying: https://bit.ly/4tpIxmH
