Just recorded a great new pair of episodes of Bill & Ashley’s Terror Theater. Gonna create an account for the podcast here soon!
So sorry to see this.
But the sixth lead of NewsRadio told me Donald Trump wouldn’t start a Middle East war
fell for it again award
I know I don’t post here half as much as I should. It’s bloody exhausting to try and keep numerous plates spinning without feeling like you’re repeating yourself in the most obnoxious way.
Universal's classic 'Dracula' was released on this day in 1931. @billbria.bsky.social looked at the important influence of its earlier stage iteration: crookedmarquee.com/the-broadway...
I don’t see what the bible has to do with it but ok sure 😎
I got to see 30 minutes of PROJECT HAIL MARY, and instantly fell in love with what I saw. This could be a special one, folks.

I watched 42 movies at Sundance. On today’s /Film Weekly, I talked about every single one with @ethananderton.bsky.social, and @billbria.bsky.social joined us for a dispatch from his time in Park City. The podcast is embedded in this article. Please read/listen! www.slashfilm.com/2093488/sund...
Putting it out there again that I'd be super honored to be commissioned for more Blu-Ray/4K work. Essays, commentaries, etc. Please reach out if you're a producer reading this!
As for where and how this cut will become available, I have no idea. But Lionsgate should absolutely release it on disc at the bare minimum. This is how it should be seen!
There’s one sequence toward the end which manages to recapture the twisted bleakness of the original Bertino film, too.
There’s no question that the movie should’ve been released this way all along. End multi chapter films! Bring back roadshows!
It’s THE STRANGERS: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR. Renny Harlin’s Rob Zombie’s HALLOWEEN II (complete with Moody Blues).
I got to see #TheStrangersMovie Trilogy tonight. All 3 chapters properly edited into a single film (with intermission) as originally envisioned. In this cut, it’s the most ambitious slasher film since TERRIFIER 2. Harlin’s a mad lad, & Madelaine Petsch is a helluva Final Girl.
Aw yay! Well we’ve got another banger here, imo. Stay tuned to see if Ashley thinks so, too, haha
I was hoping to like #28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple , but I didn’t expect to love it so thoroughly, nor believe that it could reach (maybe even surpass) the heights set by its predecessor. But Nia DaCosta & co. pull it off! My review for @discussingfilm.net

tfw you think “I will enjoy my morning with my new Sound of Music 4K” only to have it shit the bed 14 mins in, discover reams of complaints of similar issues on message boards, and have to order a replacement instead
So happy to make my @thathashtagshow.bsky.social debut, speaking with director Johannes Roberts about PRIMATE! We chat about gore and chimp suits, take a look:

The energy we need right now
A friend in Minneapolis just sent me this video. Looks like thousands have come together for a vigil after an ICE agent shot and killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good. This was my neighborhood for several years before coming to Portland.
