ECCC was fun and I had a wonderful time.

But there was a storm cloud. When I complained about Trump with my white straight cis friends, we were all sincere and concerned.

But I talked with many Trans friends, and it’s so much worse. They are in fear for their lives.

Absolutely thrilled to have 2 poems in the gorgeous Dream Catcher magazine edited by Hannah Stone. Many thanks! Remember when I was breaking all those bones (hip, foot, toe), here’s my poem Wreck.

A home office. Blue walls. To the left a small shrine with a decent size Buddha on it. Next to that, a bookcase. In front of the bookcase a blue office chair. There is a PC on a desk to the right. Guanyin mantra is open on YouTube.

Landscape ecological restoration. It can be done but we need to get a move on. This is Carrifran where the sheep were removed to allow this native woodland to take over.

The main reason UK energy prices are so high is not net zero but the fact the price of gas still sets the price of electricity. Breaking that link should be the priority.

BBC Radio 4 - Free Thinking, Queer Histories How do we apply modern LGBT+ language and identities to historical figures?

Today is the start of LGBT+ History Month in the UK. I joined some cool people a while ago to reflect on why queer and trans histories are rich and powerful. Our histories can illuminate the possibilities of activism and politics, as we work to build a better world.

Keep the conversation going.

Mayan effigy incense burner known as the Scribe of MayapΓ‘n, YucatΓ‘n, 1200 and 1450 CE. It is a deity related to the monkey-man scribe, a sacred figure in Mayan culture considered a bearer of wisdom and knowledge. Its left hand holds a snail-shaped ink holder, its right arm is a knotted serpent.

I just did the dumbest thing of my entire career to prove a much more serious point.

I tricked ChatGPT and Google, and made them tell other users I’m a competitive hot-dog-eating world champion

People are using this trick on a massive scale to make AI tell you lies. I’ll explain how I did it

BBC not saying it's climate change - not surprising, but still disappointing. Especially as I can see the anti-climate change messaging getting louder again in the right wing press....

Cover for our new book. It's cream, and there are four moons in different phases in shiny gold. Over the moons are four pictures: a galloping hare, a hawthorn bough, Stonehenge and the deer's head from the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance. The Book is called The Ritual Year: A New Calendar of Britain's Feasts, Festivals and Folklore. It's by Kiera Chapman, Lulah Ellender and Rebecca Warren.

I am squeeing with delight at the cover for our new book! It's SO SHINY!

In the early medieval period, colorful glass beads were a mark of prestige and fashion. This striking necklace, comprising over 60 beads in vibrant reds, blues, yellows, and intricate patterns, was discovered in the burial of a woman at Bissingen, southwest Germany, dating 7th century. 🧡1/2
