When you are looking for it, it is amazing how often news sources owned by zillionaires try to make normal people upset about things that mainly (or only) affect other zillionaires.

The ability to give a rousing speech is not the only metric for leadership, but it is one we overvalue, culturally. So perhaps lean into that more? I think when we veer too much into the squishy "likability" chats we miss that what people are responding to is story.
Why did people like Bill Clinton? Great communicator. Why do people like Michelle Obama and Oprah? Great communicators. JFK? Great communicator.
I increasingly think that the American public equates leadership with communication. Reagan wrecked people's lives but he could tell a story! Obamas: great communicators, both.
