I did catch him trying to shake his foot hard enough to get rid of it, which is annoyingly clever and thankfully ineffective.

My dog is soooo sad because he has a bandage on his foot. Not that he has cut his foot and requires a bandage, but specifically that he is wearing the bandage. Sadness is stored in the bandage.
Holy shit it took me some time to get through The Will of the Many (a 28 hour audiobook will do that, I guess) and I put it down for several months before finishing it but that last act was so gripping and I'm so glad I got into it late/faffed around without finishing it so I have the next one ready
