Unfortunately Jags performing like 24/25 Carlisle and not the 25/26 version. Williamson didn't by any chance get an NFL job did he?

Me at Wembley for Jags v Rams
@joncolman.bsky.social @officialcufc.bsky.social at Wembley for Jags v Rams. Hoping for a double winning weekend for the Piataks.
One great plus from @officialcufc.bsky.social win at Wealdstone. Jabo is happy!

@officialcufc.bsky.social have failed to win 41 of their last 49 home games. This appalling record has continued through three managers and a huge turnover of players. Hughes has got to find a solution soon, otherwise fans' patience will run out.
To get promoted from the NL, teams need to average two goals a game scored and only one conceded. We now have the strike force to deliver the former (and they are already ahead of that target). Just need the defence for the latter.
It was great that @officialcufc.bsky.social got a win away last Saturday to start the season, but the next two games at home- tomorrow & Tuesday - could be season-defining. Win them both and the momentum could enable us to compete for the one automatic promotion place.
We had some good away wins even during the misery of the last two seasons. The next two home games are the real test of how much things have changed. Two wins and we will really be motoring.
For the third time, all Birmingham Council workers have accepted an equal pay solution except the bin workers. Twice previously they got their way, preventing proper pay equality with women workers, but not this time.
A lot of games in the south of the country this season, but our away support is so good, we will often sell out. Our away form hasn't been the problem the last two seasons - it's been home form that has relegated us. Hughes' main job is to fix that - the young fans who can't travel deserve it.
Setting of to Woking to join the @officialcufc.bsky.social Blue Army for our first game of the NL season. After two miserable seasons, minimum expectations are to be able to look forward to going to games again, and compete for a play-off place, even if we fall short in the end.

What is an Ent doing in inner-city Birmingham?
The new party would have made sense if we had PR. With first past the post it will just help Reform
Weather in Woking on Saturday
It's going to be a hot start to the season for the 1000+ strong Blue Army at Woking. Better than getting wet on our uncovered terrace but we will need the sun screen
Think we will have a good idea of what the season holds by the end of September, 12 games in. Win 8 and we will be competing for the automatic spot. Win at least 5 and we should make the play-offs.
Summing up UK politics today - a minority of people (mainly white and old) have got all the money. When the rest, who are struggling to pay their bills, ask where it has gone, Farage and co are pointing at immigrants and saying they have taken it all.
Linney is different gravy from the rest of our strikers. We are going to need him to stay fit. Every time he gets the ball, you can see him thinking 'how am I going to score from here'.
On the evidence of yesterday's performance at Chester, we are not going to win games with our silky smooth football, at least to begin with. Blood & guts, and getting the ball to Linney as often as possible, can get us into the winning habit. Better stuff will come later with confidence.

Bad day for all the vultures trying to make money out of this issue.
Absolutely right that manslaughter charges should be considered. Should happen more often when reckless and dangerous driving causes death

Nazis were Germans in the 1930s, if you study a bit of history
The Israeli Government deserve all the opprobrium coming to them, but yesterday at Glastonbury wasn't a good look, and didn't do anything to advance the Palestinian cause.

Methodist Central Hall, Birmingham
@savetoreuse.bsky.social any chance you could take an interest in Methodist Central Hall on Corporation Street in Birmingham? A fine old building that has been empty and disused for years.
The review seems to be a description of what went wrong, rather than an analysis of why it went wrong, as the numerous unanswered questions in your article make clear. If we start the season well, it will be quickly forgotten.
As the author, Iβm immensely proud of this report. But mainly I hope people read it and take notice. This is about the rise in βfake e-bikesβ, and whatβs driving it appgcw.org/resources/in...
@sarahchaundler.bsky.social's film about the cost of Birmingham's car-owners-first policies will be a must-see.

How on earth did they get up there?
Don't know why Lidl aren't on this platform, but their wholemeal bread flour is fantastic value. Β£1.09 for 1.5 Kg. That will make three large loaves in a bread maker. Add a bit of dried yeast, sugar, salt & veg oil, and electricity and that comes out at under 50p for a loaf.
Think you are being too pessimistic. Reform is a house of cards. If a friendly bus took out Farage, their poll ratings would drop to 15% and they would be lucky to win 10 seats at the next GE.
