Just attended an amazing solo keyboard and piano concert by the superb Rick Wakeman in Holland. But why oh why did I have to watch half of it through the screen of the mobile phone of the man in front of me?

During the election campaign I was a Keir Starmer supporter. I felt he carried himself well. I have tried to keep the faith over the past few months but, following his latest immigration speech, I have to concede that Keir Starmer has become toxic to the Labour cause. A new leader is needed

I feel very angry watching Trump and Vance bullying Zelensky. This is scandalous.

Briefly on Xitter. There was a suggestion that Alan Shearer may replace Gary Lineker as presenter. The amount of abuse levelled at him (and Gary) was disturbing. Do they not know this is a human being they are talking about?

The last time I posted on X about my hope that Keir Starmer might be quietly approaching the EU regarding rejoining the single market, I was met with a sea of abuse. I hope this platform can discuss this more maturely.
