After pissing off local customers and advertisers, the Allen Media Group has reversed its decision to lay off local meteorologists at its 22 broadcast stations.
The plan had been to axe local talent and replace them with Weather Channel reports.

Knitting with cables isn’t hard, it’s just time consuming. And I do have to watch my stitches so that they don’t fall off the needles. 😬
Honestly? Trial and error. 😆 I just take each row as it’s written and go along with it. If I’m not sure about a stitch, I look for videos on YouTube to explain them to me. There’s a purl front and back in this one that I had never used before. Definitely watched a video for that one!
The beginnings of a cabled hat. The ribbing is finished, and the cables have just started. The yarn changes color, from green to white and then back to green.
Still knitting away at Christmas gifts. This traveling cables hat is going to do me in. 😫 But it will look gorgeous when it’s done, and my middle kiddo will be thrilled.
In all fairness, I read it about 14 years ago. A LOT has changed since then! I wouldn't be nearly as shocked if I read it today. 😂
