Part X of X Walter was shocked that i surprised him this much with this. It was an amazing show, and he was mesmerized. This was a huge dopamine hit for me! Surprise a SUCCESS!
Part IX he finally looks around and he stares at the screen and a slow look of surprise comes onto his face. Then i can feel the light and glitter that explodes out of him, he loves it! He almost a lil' misty. My heart!❤️
Part VIII When the show is about to start he's getting up, uncomfortable sitting in one place and not paying attention. I finally tell him to sit down and look around a little more carefully.
Part VII he finishes the fries and is just looking around, taking in the crowd and the stage, makes some jokes but doesn't understand that he is not at a Go Gos concert. We sit there for 45 minutes and he's still cranky.
Part VI we make it to the seats and he settles in with his fries with a huge screen of Andrea Buchelli stuff on the stage. I wait for him to notice. He digs into his fries and he's annoyed with me for taking video (how come I can't share it here? Grr)
Part V We get to the venue, and he just wants to EAT. He walks up to Dunkin and gets salty that all they have are donut holes. Meanwhile I'm low key freaking out that something around us will blow the surprise. As we continue he sees french fries, so he gets them and they are LOADED.
Part IV Last night no time to eat, left for the concert. I put on The Go Gos Talk Show and bopped out and told fun facts about them. At no point did I let on we were seeing Andrea Buchelli instead. When we got to Amalie, Walter was getting hangry.
(Con't, part III) Walter loves music, but he loves opera, boomer music, showtunes, and much of the old standards. He is a champ, because he goes to and loves pretty much every concert I've dragged him to. So he was game, but not overjoyed.
(Con't, part II) I knew I'd be unable to keep this a secret for months, so I made up a fake Go Gos tour and said we were seeing them. So for months I've been acting excited about seeing The Go Gos.
Back in December, I saw that Andrea Buchelli was coming to Tampa and it was for right around Walter's birthday and thought it would make for an excellent birthday surprise.
