It has been a long and tiring couple of weeks of work with a colleague here from Europe. His flight out was (supposed to be) today and now he is stuck here over the weekend.

Instead of spending a nice relaxing weekend in my pajamas, I now have to go back out in public and socialize.

I ran across an article yesterday that was giving advice on maintaining adult friendships and said that 'proximity' was a key factor. In my experience, some of the longest lasting friendships I have are from 'foreigners' in other countries.
