It's been awhile since I've played around with Dr Moreau-ing old animal illustrations.

A gory hand-made birthday gift for a dear friend. He's a fan of the horror genre. The 10cent piece is to show the scale.
This morning's garden visitor is a beautiful southern emu wren. She flitted about, drinking from flowers and exploring the front garden.
Currently being serenaded by this little guy, while he shelters from the rain. Perched right outside the kitchen window.

A new Holland Honey Eater came to visit my garden today. A quick ink study.
A bit of iridescence, as a treat
The beginnings of a friends birthday present (they are not on here). A mini horror scene, inspired by Killing Eve. If you haven't watched it, you should. It's brilliant, funny, dark. So far it's just the set dressing. Soon the horror!
Concussed Blue Eyed Honey Eater, he spent a night and a day at a Vets, eating, drinking, and was ready to be released back into the wild.
He flew straight into a bottle brush tree and started feasting.
