January weather in NE England has been rubbish so far. Generally Cold, grey, wet etc. The forecast for yesterday was better, so we took the opportunity to hike up Addlebrough, a 1600ft flat topped Fell in Wensleydale, Yorkshire.
We met no one and had a brilliant day out.
Good for the soul.

A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.

When the soldier’s remains arrived at Dover Air force Base, no US president was there to honor them on behalf of a grateful nation.

old Soviet joke for our times:

Guy stops by the newsstand every day, scans the front page, doesn’t buy the paper. One day the vendor asks what he’s up to.

Guy says: β€œlooking for an obituary.”

Vendor says β€œthose are towards the back of the paper, comrade.”

Guy says: β€œnot the one I’m looking for.”

Zelensky, the ELECTED leader of a free country, should not be expected to kiss the ass of the toddler. His people expect
Him to be strong.

Trump would have fled where Zelensky stayed and fought.

Trump is the worst negotiator

Donald Trump has disgraced the United States of America in countless ways since he first entered political life ten years ago.

But he had never disgraced the nation as badly as he did today.

He has brought shame on this country to an extent I had never thought possible. And he has only just begun.
