The CROWN Act is now law in Pennsylvania! 👑 Public school students across the Commonwealth have the right to be free from racial hair discrimination, including bans on protective hairstyles like locs, braids, twists, afros, and Bantu knots.
Next, the General Assembly must build on the governor’s proposal by accelerating the timeline to close the adequacy gap. A child’s time in school is precious, and Pennsylvania’s public school students cannot afford to keep waiting. Read our statement.

Lehighton Area School District was able to retain staffing and reduce average elementary class sizes from around 26 to 20 students.
