I always regretted not buying originals that I was offered the opportunity to purchase from my favorite artist Nen Chang. Her work is a constant inspiration and I will never stop wishing my illness hadn't cut short my job as her assistant back in 2015. Her work is incredible look it up.

Can you imagine buying some art you like at a con then 10 years later seeing their work in the media you consume and knowing you have a physical piece of their history? I love that feeling and I hope my customers get to have that experience from me one day.

I fantasize about a future 10-20 years down the line, getting the opportunity to illustrate a pokemon card, even if its for the mobile game... I imagine one of those TWO people recognizing my art style, but thinking it couldn't be the same artist, then they check the signature and ITS ME!

I am still painting, I have a 6x8 lugia in the works, I have TWO 5x7 pokemin aquariums, and im raising prices and pushing my skills with every new piece.
But more importantly to me, I made original art ACCESSIBLE to people who were clearly enamored with my work and wanted it.

I sold three small pokemon watercolor paintings last year, and have had some friends reprimand me for not charging enough. (6x8 framed espeon and a separate umbreon, $150 to one customer; framed Mew 5x7, $100 to another)
And yeah I undersold myself but HEAR ME OUT

Pencil drawn thumbnails for a 2 page comic. A raccoon boy walking along the beach find an elk in his pitfall trap. He drags the body home and begins prepping soup. The elk makes a sound and he freezes, it asks what's for dinner, he says soup, elk asks what kind, he looks at the pot then says "vegetable." They've been best friends ever since. the first page is on the right, and the 2nd page is on the left. I dont remember why, its not manga, the pages read left to right. These were about 2" tall originally, to force me to simplify shapes and avoid detaila. Then I blew this up to 8x10", printed on Bristol, and inked it with a pointed round 2 brush.

Yeah but its not as simple as just keeping one shape darker than the shape behind it. Just as a micro example here you can see the way I intentionally shift which value is light and which is dark within the same shape. I try to find and capitalize on every opportunity I can for this sorta thing.

I have noticed that when I am struggling to understand others' speech, I get louder, but its been worse last few months, so much so I had my dr check out my ears but no actual hearing tests yet. I know i have auditory processing disabilities but idk how that plays into all this.

Apparently right after I wake up, all my speech is yell/talk extremely loud (dont know when yelling started to mean just being loud, but then again, most people dont doubt their own diction and constantly double check definitions like I do. Thanks ocd?)

I was using a 5* sparkling grass donut trying to get treeko/sceptile but it kept spawning bulbasaurs... so i gave up and used a dif donut. The very next scan is ALSO grass, I try again for shiny, GOT SHINY TREECKO!
1 min later SHINY BULBA. GOT BOTH!!
