On this day in 1966, Gene Roddenberry screened Star Trek's 2nd pilot, "Where No Man Has Gone Before," for Richard Matheson, George Clayton Johnson, Paul Schneider, Oliver Crawford, John Kneubuhl, and Meyer Dolinsky at Desilu. Each one would go on to write for The Original Series.
