Tomorrow is the start of the end! I will have my final seminar after four years at Lund university - the last step before taking my viva which will hopefully happen in may. Truly the end of an era! Wish me luck π #newbeginnings #phdlife

Todays morning walk with the dog brought some nice peace and quiet at my impromptu writing retreat to Stockholm. Now I will once more throw myself in to the depths of rewriting my social network chapter.

Slowly my motivation is dying down before Christmasβ¦ I have however finished editing 4 out of 6 chapters for the thesis! Exited for my final seminar in April π₯³ #diplomatichistory #earlymodern
Sounds fascinating π
Hello all new lovely people joining Bluesky! Look forward to seeing all of you (new and old) friends and really hear about all your amazing research #18thcentury #diplomatichistory I feel this stage direction is suitable for all of us finding a new space for our community!
I love finding small tidbits that makes me chuckle: like count Ekeblad, who writes to his wife from Paris that he has hired an old female servant to do his laundry so that he will not be tempted by her.
He also mentions that the embassy is turning into a convent, lacking any female presence
Done with teaching for this term! Back to writing π₯³ letβs see if I can reach a 100 pages today? #phdlife #earlymodernhistory #diplomatichistory
Hello fellow early modernists! Any fun conferences in the coming year?
Any other PhDs who is about halfway and really just miss the archival research. Although writing is going good I miss the smell of old paper and the sneezes from my fellow archive rats. #PhDlife
Always lovely to present the thesis, especially when it is available to the public! (Although trying to keep it to only 10 minutes is near impossible) #PhDlife
Another day of teaching! I am sad tho that I am missing all the thrilling trial lectures for the new professorship in global history here in Lund!
