I gave a public educational seminar on the history of vaccines yesterday sponsored by @gain-indivisible.bsky.social. I encourage all scientists to give public educational seminars a shot. You’ll learn something and you will be surprised (in a good way) by the people you meet.

There’s a book from political scientists Macedo and Lee that claims the COVID-19 pandemic was not as much of a threat to public health as was supposed, calling into question the role of expertise.

Newsweek is reporting the RFK plans an outright ban on mRNA vaccines in the United States within a few months. That's a huge mistake. Please, speak out against those who would derail the most promising technology to curb virus spread since Charles Maitland and cow pox.
