Same boat here! I ordered new Calgar and Son of the Forest along with Aeldari’s Lament around the start of December and I’m still waiting for them to ship! I just want to read my book!

I’d call them “soulslight” I’m not a huge fan of the Souls games but I really enjoy the Jedi games. They give me just enough challenge to feel accomplished, but I can change the difficulty so if my old dad reflex’s take over I can still progress.

I’m rooting for a Mariners/Brewers World Series! I’d have cheer for the Brewers though, I have childhood memories of lake vacations listening to Uecker calling games.

I’m playing in my first RTT on Saturday and I wanted to get a battle ready army together, it took me a couple weeks of painting but I was able to get my army done! I’ve got models from when I first started painting the Leviathan box so it’s fun to see the progress I made! Bonus cat included.

As someone laid off from Embracer, it’s best for my mental health to not think about them often. I landed fine, but lots of friends didn’t.

I bring this up at the studio I work at that if we want the dad gamers it’s good to have shorter matches that are easy to get in and out! I know that I only get like 1-2 hours a night to relax and it’s hard to decide what to do!

Most of simulation space is on PC games nowadays. Also there is a game in early access called Sea power that covers the 80’s naval warfare stuff that’s pretty cool!

I did a bard and loved it, but that’s also because I love playing the bard on the tabletop. Charisma is my favorite stat to play with though so I get the dilemma.

I liked Steeplechase but I’m a sucker for Blades in the Dark, I run my own game of that so it’s fun to listen to others play it. But I fell off hard on Graduation when so much of it was just Travis talking to himself.

I just listened to this and heard you referenced FreeSpace. That was a Volition game, and we got shut down in 2023 in the great Embracer layoffs of that year. Another studio with 30 years of history gone. :(

Hell yeah! I want to get a Morkanaut/Gorkanaut one of these days but I’ll have to save up my pennies for that!

I don’t have my Orks painted unfortunately, I’ve got a kiddo in kindergarten so my time is limited! But it’s an awesome model that was a huge pain to put together!
