Ugly game
Ugly game
NPR has had its head in the sand for a long time. They still report things the administration says as if it bears any relationship to the truth. I rarely listen any more - only if all other choices are exhausted.
Has anybody filed a lawsuit against this architectural travesty? There must be some grounds to stop or slow this. Democratic leaders should announce they will tear it down if it is built.
Our system is so obviously broken. I hunger for Democratic leaders to announce plans for major systematic reforms and constitutional amendments. I know the later especially are hard to achieve, but we must have statements of principles and ambitious goals.
I have long believe someone should develop open source non-profit platforms. Make the algorithm suit users needs rather than the profit seekers. Give the user choices about how their feed works.
Woohoo!!!
Excellent
Hats off to Governor Pritzker. He's raising his voice, unlike too many of the Democratic party's leaders. Keep fighting for us Gov Pritzker.
She is completely horrible.
I think we need major constitutional reform. I'd love to know what Robert Reich would propose. Dems need to start making these arguments to the public.
Has anyone asked the useless Lisa Murkowski or Susan Collins why they haven't spoken up? Any Republican who hasn't quit the GOP over this and the fake Justice Department investigations is complicit.
No one in the GOP complains. They are all complicit with using the Justice Department to level made-up charges against Democrats. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins occasionally make some noises about opposing some aspect of Trumpism. Being silent means they are enabling this too.
There's a certain kind of cluelessness that's baked into the NY Times. NPR does the same. I still read the Times despite its major flaws. I gave up on NPR years ago. I think The Guardian does it better. They aren't so afraid to exercise judgement, but still maintain high level professionalism.
Thank you for posting this. Extremely helpful.
Wow. Exciting finish.
The Roundtable is my favorite podcast listen for politics. Jane Mayer is a national treasure.
It has been a failure of the Democratic party not to pursue a long term strategy of reforms. The strategy always seems to be do just enough to squeak by in the next election. Now we find ourselves with an absolute train wreck and there are so many things wrong, it's hard to know where to start.
