Why has the fandom created this culture where people need to walk on eggshells over fucking feedback, of all things?

It's made all the worse when the feedback is aimed at actually shitty actions taken by the devs, but that's for another day.

"YOU'RE NOT OWED ANYTHING!" "STOP HARASSING THE DEVS!" "EVERYONE IS SO UNGRATEFUL!" "BE POSITIVE FOR ONCE!" And this energy is kept even against people who are doing their goddamn best to present their critiques politely.

But it's so hard to raise those concerns or to just discuss the updates/features because in literally. Every. Single. Update. People latch onto the few vocal, entitled fans that make a big fucking scandal, and the entire fanbase goes into lockdown mode, essentially.

How is that better than just using a private server for small groups/solo runs? And how does that fix the issue of elevator snipers? If anything I'd argue it makes it worse, all it takes is for the sniper to have better ping than a teammate to teleport half the team away.

Take the matchmaking feature that was added yesterday for example. I don't think it's unreasonable that some players expected a menu tab where players could host and join runs.

Instead we got this really weird "Fill Elevator" feature which just- Skips the countdown if everyone votes for it?

People that threaten to quit the game over the slightest inconvenience whenever an update drops are annoying, but I'm gonna be real, I don't think a few whiny assholes mean discussing issues with the game and with updates should be off the table. #Dandy'sWorld #DandysWorld
