Sam Altman has been suggesting putting in some guardrails to protect people with delusions. Yes I agree there is huge danger here but you have to test the implication of changes. As a neurodivergent user I already feel shamed when I try to remix pop culture. That cannot be the strategy!

Once made a script that picked a random wallpaper, analyzed it in Python, and generated a matching system+terminal+VS Code theme. It corrupted the wallpaper DB (just a sqlite file) and broke Spotlight + Dock. Spent 1.5 days recovering my dev setup.
If a service is free you are the product. If you are willing to add a new utility bill on the same pay you are still the product. Deregulation of the industry means AI in the US is the wild wild west and personal data is new gold.
I don't know how to fix this but I mourn when I read our history about fighting for liberty 🗽
