These time changes are so dumb. I woke up at 3:30 today, read for a while. Was like I just go for my run early.

No I fell back asleep at 4:30 or something for like an hour and now I feel like death.

Witnesses report horrific leg injury to S.F. cyclist struck in β€˜crazy’ Sunset intersection Residents and workers said they saw many close calls before a dump truck struck and dragged a cyclist Friday, maiming her leg.

The @sfcta.bsky.social's current proposal for 7th and Irving is milquetoast. The city has let itself be bullied by an extremely loud but small constituent of car drivers who believe street safety is a "war on cars." This is what happens when upgrades are delayed and parking is held over lives.

I came to comment about negative AC Transit experiences I’ve had too. I don’t remember having that type of aggression from bus drivers in SF, fwiw.

Yeah. I saw that response and I was like, then what’s the problem?

My other favorites are β€œI can’t see the bottom right hand side of my car so I have to go slow and make really wide turns.”

Which is just gold because that’s the entire point!

I saw this on Nextdoor and I was sure it was satire, but then I remembered it was ND, and no it was serious.

We’re getting close, but haven’t eclipsed peak prices from the β€˜70s.

Good things happened because of that. People bought smaller more fuel efficient cars. The moped took off.

Today that will translate to more EV sales. The e-bike will gain even more traction. Expensive oil is good for the planet.

That is literally not how it works. Single stair mid-rise buildings are a fixture everywhere in the developed and developing world.

The U.S. is a petulant outlier in all things urban planning so stop letting The New York Times tell you to ignore the evidence of your own eyes

The most important thing we can do across the US is electoral reform. Ranked-Choice or Approval voting would fix many of our election issues.

Similarly, we need to kill off the Electoral College.

Both parties survive because people often don’t have real choice.

That’s absolutely true. Curbs next to bikes should be beveled, not squared. Not sure why they do that. Is it cheaper?

That’s a bidirectional protected intersection. The one shared in this thread looks smaller so probably will only be marked for a single direction.

05.03.2026 23:07 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I think that’s intentional. It appears to adopt a protected intersection style in order to reduce the chance of a car cutting someone off bc of a blind spot, it instead puts the bicyclist in front of a drivers windshield.

I wonder what this means for AI generated software? I mean this makes sense to me. If AI training is deemed fair use, then the product of that can’t be copyrighted.

It’s like a bizarre way for the GPL to be carried directly into all software companies using generative AI.

I love it every time my friend @coachbalto.bsky.social lands another celebrity collab. It just spreads the message that we can have kid-friendly cities.

I don’t have a lot of skin in it. I’m just enjoying watching McKennie and Pulisic do well in Italy.

01.03.2026 21:48 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I’m a McKennie fan. Most reliable and consistent player on Juve.

Juve’s not out. I predict a tying header from McKennie yet to come.

People clearly want to ride the 7 - there was a bus party to celebrate the line and the bus was filled to capacity!

It goes through many residential areas to multiple commercial areas and BART stations.

But people can’t rely on a bus that runs once an hour.
