Rosalina kicked her legs in a fuss. “Nnghh! Nngghh!” She’d flail her arms too, but they were trapped at her sides. She’d been careless flying through Sling Pod Galaxy. She’d ended up face first in one of the giant masses of webbing that decorated the slice of space. Her head had just barely managed to poke out the front, though a thick, sticky glob remained wrapped around her mouth, gluing her lips together and gagging her. Her arms were trapped inside, pinned by her torso, with only her hands poking out the back of the pod. Her hips hadn’t made it in, and her legs shook uselessly as she tried in vain to free herself. The pod was supported by a single thin leg connecting it to this asteroid. With each jerk and flail of her body, she made it sway back and forth, almost like a cradle. Her stomach gurgled loudly. “Mnnrrrff! Mnnnrrr!” she whined, blinking back hot tears. As she wiggled her hips, her diaper crinkled. She always wore one for longer flights outside the Observatory, but she’d never done anything more than wet it. But after an hour, the pressure in her bowels couldn’t be ignored. Another gurgle. Rosalina knew her cheeks could no longer hold back the mudslide that was coming. Squeezing her eyes shut she whimpered and mewled in the back of her throat. FFFFBBBBBPPPPLLLLLRRRRRTTTTTT! She hung her head in shame as warm, heavy mush filled her diaper, making it sag and stain even the backside of her blue dress. Her earlier momentum kept the pod rocking as defeat settled in. Rosalina’s cheeks burned with humiliation. It would be hours before her Lumas finally found her, and she didn’t want to know what they’d make of Mama and her thoroughly messy diaper when they did.

Anyway, long ramble but I hope that answers your question lol
I have a lot of days like that now, because I’ve figured out what works to convince me to stop procrastinating and start writing.
I still get writer’s block, or days where I’m just not motivated to write at all, and I try not to do too much and risk burnout.
And in doing so, I write a LOT lol
Once you stop staring at the blank page and just start, it gets easier. “I just wrote a sentence. That wan’t painful. I can write another easily.”
And then on and on until you reach a point where you’ve been going for so long you can’t believe how much you’ve written.
I thought I HAD to wait for days like that, but that’s wrong. You almost never wake up and think “man, I’m feeling good! I’m gonna write a whole fic in one sitting today!”
The truth is you get to that point after you’ve already been writing for a bit. The hard part then is starting.
Over the years I’ve found little ways to hack my brain and get a lot of writing done.
I used to spend a lot of time sitting around waiting for the motivation to strike. Every now and then there would be a really good day where I’d write three, four thousand words in one sitting.
Picking one is so hard lol. But I think I gotta go with Sonia. Loved her design from moment one and especially after writing her in Best in Show 2 she became my fave. Need to do more with her.

Dunno if I have a point beyond just venting a little. It's the end of the year so it's time to reflect and all that junk.
Who knows, maybe in 2026 I pop off and write even more somehow. I don't know what's in store!
And maybe that's a good thing, because I don't want to get burnt out. But at the same time I feel like I spent a lot of time NOT writing this past year. Plenty of wasted hours.
So I'm stuck between feeling like I'm doing too much and too little.
I'm ultimately very happy with the fics I've written in 2025, but I am worried that I've set a high bar for next year with the sheer amount.
AO3's stats tell me it was something like 600k words when you put it all together. That's... a lot. Like, I don't think 2026 will come close all told.
