I’ve removed BlueSky from my phone, it’s too depressing, like all other social medias. Adios.

I work with the devs so gets a free pass
BS. Don’t have kids, started going bald at 24, mostly grey now. Not having kids gives many benefits but this is not one, it’s all the genes
Looking for some fun, exciting new #VR games that aren’t: a) hack & slash dungeon crawler or b) FPS
This reads very differently for a British person
Fuck. Sorry to hear this. Hope those affected go onto more great things and those left recover together to build back better
Not a driver hence not an owner but is that the one with the big glass front? Garages will have a laugh with costs to replace or refit it for any reason. (Wife bumped a neighbours hence why we know). Older models might have had the arse ragged out of it by boy racers
Manchester, 31 Dec 2015. Chaos in the streets.
Happy tenth anniversary to photographer Joel Goodman’s classic image which by rights should be hanging in the Louvre.
Congratulations on both accounts!
When I posted the photo of Shu playing our VR game ahead of PS VR dev support, he reposted it saying how he was looking forward to it. I forgot to crop him holding the Xbox controller. Sony fanbois went wild for a while.

Photo taken inside a home lounge with a “Gulf Racing” coloured Xbox Series X controller in the foreground in front of an LG OLED 55” TV, which sits atop an oak wood cabinet. On the screen can be seen the opening title start screen for the classic Dreamcast game “Rez”
Et voila, running recalbox for Dreamcast so first game to test had to be Rez
The final day
Amazon helpfully told me I’ve just ordered our 57th maxi tube of Thrive chicken cat treats. Plus the 3 units I had to get from Tesco once makes 60 in total. Taking an average cost, that’s £1,000+ on cat treats over the years
Hope (when it works) it works better than the G’Aim’e system I got recently.
So he planted it? 🙃
Someone has lifted the QuickTimeVR movie files from 1994's "Star Trek: The Next Generation Interactive Technical Manual", upscaled them then built an in-browser replica of the ITM's "Tour" module. mijofr.github.io/st-panorama/

A Raspberry Pi 5 board (4Gb version) sitting on top of the Dreamcase box, on a multicoloured rug
A Dreamcase held in a left hand palm - a mini SEGA Dreamcast looking case for the Raspberry Pi 5 computer board to go into
Last week of annual leave holiday break and picked up a little retro gaming build as a distraction project - Raspberry Pi 5 + Dreamcase for some emulated goodness
Drove the actress who played Arthur Fowler’s lover in ‘Enders round Drusilla’s Zoo Park on the train
Yeah will go back & search for the binary if it’s not in the apps list - was just testing on office room TV for convenience of being next to PC (& is hardwired by HDMI anyway to it). Now I know what am doing can faff about with lounge TV. Annoying thing is had to disable V-Sync on PC stop flashing
Don’t really need the RPi5 now but it’ll make a fun retro emu project with the Dreamcase
Seems I was reading specifically about Steam Link WebOS - got Moonlight working just fine via this guide: www.reddit.com/r/MoonlightS...
If you have a Google Stadia controller that you haven’t converted to work with Bluetooth as a normal controller, the extended support for the tool is expected to expire Dec 31st 2025 (for whatever reason they decided to set a deadline for the life of a tool): 9to5google.com/2025/12/11/s...
I went with a RPi5 and Dreamcase for retro goodness
To be fair to my movers, they took uttermost care of my 48” and 55” OLEDs when we relocated in summer. I was nervous as hell but both arrived unscathed
I saw firmware’s after 2022 were patched out for side loading the jailbreak OS? LG CX55 OLED here.
Have picked up a 4Gb RPi5 w/ a SEGA Dreamcast case
Don’t really want to be running HDMI&USB cables around the house (still need a controller receiver) but yes, the McD’s VR truck project taught me *everything* about lengths of cable and signal strengths etc especially for fussy Oculus Rift CV1s!
Researching cheap* methods of streaming PC gaming to lounge TV: Nvidia Shield, Google TV, Apple TV, Raspberry Pi, Steam Deck Dock #2
*to ignore the £2k sff-pc I’ve specced up in a basket waiting for checkout amid RAM price madness lol
Boxing Day sorted
