I didn’t watch the game, just saw the box score, so not sure how much of that was the case here, but too early to put a lot of stock on a single performance.

I agree, watching spring training is such a pain. I wish it were easier! We’ll have regular season ball to watch before we know it!

I wouldn’t stress too much about early performances, especially for pitchers. Often times pitchers go out and try to work on specific things/pitches more than they would in a “real” game.

I think they’re probably a slightly over .500 team right now, but would be great to see them get a couple reinforcements for the pen for sure - and still wish (but don’t expect) they’d sign Valdez.

I don’t hate it as much as many - I’m not in love with it but I think it’ll be ok, especially for just 1 year.

If they traded for Hoerner this year for a couple of prospects would you have wanted him to just be a one-year guy and then sign elsewhere or would you hope they extended or re-signed him?

Feel like the Giants are just eating a year at second base so they can make a run at Hoerner next offseason instead of giving up prospects for him now.

I was down in Southern California earlier this week and saw lots of Dodgers fans in brand new gear… those are the fans I’m most happy for. They’ve followed their team for weeks and had never seen them win a World Series.
