It saddens me because there is clearly so much love for Emily and Lera but they are both white women and Charithra is not getting even an iota of that. Apparently you can be a woman who is white or a man who's not white, but a WOMAN and not white? Too many offenses apparently.
The problem is that chronically online incels can't accept that the beautiful female character they've fantasised about isn't white. They can't even fathom finding a woman of colour attractive. Regardless of the fact that she is fucking stunning.
Man, can I say something. The negativity Charithra Chandran is getting for being cast as Vivi is entirely because she's a WOMAN of colour. No one complained about Jacob (Usopp) or Mackenyu (Zoro) or Sendhil (Cobra) being cast, all of whom are not white, because they're men.
