Out of 10 men , one makes a sexual joke at a woman, two laugh, three fake a chuckle to fit in, and four stay silent. None of them speak up. Later, none of them still believe they're the "good guys." But from the woman's perspective , the laughter, the silence , the looking away, it all creates the same environment. So when women say "most men are the same," this is what they mean: not that every man harassed women, but that most men helpmprotect the system that does.

I was torn because it is hard to laugh. But I was talking with someone who was struggling with how evil America is and helpless they feel and making them laugh gave them hope. So if I can cheer 1 kind person who is depressed because of all this. It's worth it.

It is. I feel that. Sometimes when I make a crack I feel guilty. But it's the laughter and the smiling and the kindness that keep us human. So keep on keeping on and laugh a little. I think it helps ourselves and others more than we think right now.
