That might help. I tried a few standalones, but I don't feel like I was able to give them a fair chance. I'll try a good Gothic fantasy, and if not maybe I'll re-read an old fave for a pallet cleanser.

I think what makes me really mad is that these authors all have other series that they are working on, and it's like they forgot the one I was reading.

I rhinkni could be more willing to accept if ot wasn't a good series. But these are series that I really enjoyed and it's been more then 2 years and nothing. Seriously disappointing.

How do you deal with a book series that has been started and you know they will never be finished? I have read 6 series with 1 or more books in the series, and I know they will never be finished.
