🧪🧬New preprint We present cryo-EM structures of reconstituted CTCF–nucleosome complexes, showing CTCF dimerization drives nucleosome oligomerization into defined higher-order assemblies. Disrupting CTCF–CTCF interfaces in mESCs reduces looping and impairs differentiation. tinyurl.com/CTCF-nucleos...

I like using my iPad and the app goodnotes! What’s nice is that you can have a paper open twice on goodnotes so you can have the text/figures open side by side. Whatever you write in one window will autosync to the other.

SF3B1K700E mutation in human embryonic stem cells causes aberrant expression of immune-related genes SF3B1, a component of the U2 snRNP pre-mRNA splicing factor, plays a critical role in splicing and is frequently mutated in cancer, particularly hematologic malignancies. We investigated the effects…

Mahtab Dastpak, @camimoso.bsky.social, @adelmanlab.bsky.social and colleagues report that a SF3B1 mutation in human embryonic stem cells alters splicing and dysregulates immune-related gene expression, providing new insights into the role of SF3B1 in haematologic malignancies.
