After giving it a shot when it released 10-20% of the game is hype moments and aura and the rest is trying to improve on botw but falls flat in the form of this meme

Happy Week 1 of LUTI S17 and CCA League S7!
Something we get a lot of questions about is if there's a correlation between LUTI and CCA divs, so I did some minor statistical analysis

Thanks for the shoutout. Is UCF Knights Academy the secret 10th team playing under the name Error-Nautics in LUTI this season? I thought I saw them in the LUTI reveal show
Classes at my university got cancelled today. Surely my uniβs president knew today everyone was going to be partying for the CCA and LUTI division reveal day and it has nothing to do with the winter storm advisory #highdivsplatoon
A protect/ban system for weapons could be cool too for gimmick tournaments that want to test out that idea. One would probably count all kits as one weapon to make things fairer imo
So what you're getting at is everyone in the Splatoon community needs to stop drinking coffee and tea and then we will finally be recognized as a legitimate esport
When it comes to a new Splatoon 3 patch, you can bet there will be people trying new strategies, and other people who will stick to what they know. Sometimes it's hard to tell in the zany world of #highdivsplatoon, though.
Great advice, although I must nitpick that collegiate (in NA) runs two events, a League which is extremely similar to LUTI, and a circuit, which is more akin to SAC. I personally wouldn't call LUTI a circuit but it is similar in that you need to have endurance as a team.
They're doing this to me tomorrow
#compsplatoon 11.0 impressions:
* vBP is better at what it does now esp pack. Hitbox changes and HP bars makes it feel more consistent. Still struggles in backline mirror though
* Tetras got what it needed all-around, might be crazy
* Dynamo feels more rewarding not sure how good it is exactly
Hey #compsplatoon and #splatoon!
Of the four major metropolitan areas in the Northeast Megalopolis (DC, Philly, NYC, Boston), don't'cha think it's a little weird that Philadelphia is the only area without a dedicated LAN?
I'm hoping to change that this year! And the first step is to gauge interest.
I'm in the Philly area and I'd be interested in joining the LAN scene again! Magic8Ball used to run Splatoon events at a place in Center City and I go to the same place a bit for Mario Kart LANs.
trying to convince my friend that there really was a nintendo DS launch title called βPenn & Tellerβs Shithead Basketballβ
What Iβm anticipating for the #compsplatoon patch:
- RM adjustments (Nintendo knows what happened at Riptide letβs be real)
- TC/CB adjustments possible (Area Cup and top-level zones only are making waves)
- New Anarchy / X feature we havenβt seen before
- In terms of weps, patch will be small
If pen gets nerfed I think liter should get toned back a touch as well, just so that it doesnβt overwhelmingly dominate the backline MUs
Booyah and Strike I agree with to make midlines more diverse, although if they get hit bubble should as well
Maybe tone the hammer throw back very slightly too?
Bucket as a main is amazing and with its insane results consistency I think you could argue itβs at the very very top. I think Stickerz Sword has potential to be top 10 as well maybe dethroning splash (I think itβs underrated how well-rounded Stickerz is)
@choff-03.bsky.social Graph Theory spotted in comp. Splatoon...
Jr: really annoying kit but missiles have cooldown which saves it from being too busted. Would compete w nsplash but I think that's better for stall
Edit: hmm
Liter: burst on it would shake meta up. Doesn't need crab to be good
Bucket: love letter to Splat 1's best kits. We def would see 2x comps
My Partner / My Crush / My Ex / My Side Piece
Loved Mini since Splat2, Zimi is goated rn
I can strangely do well on Heavy Deco?
vSplash... it's not you it's me...
vDread is also goated

Shoutout to the top 4 of this semester's @ccasplatoon.bsky.social Circuit Season 2 Division 1! Lots of weapon diversity, even at the top πͺ
Las Creaturas in 8th place bc they only played 1/3 of the qualifiers
I agree with the general point that backline buffs > pen nerfs but Iβd say the one exception is liter. It matches very good into the backline cast. SBlast is weird bc it lucked out with its kit but I donβt really want booyah or burst toned back, so you have to be careful with balancing the main
INKWAVE inspired league idea for #compsplatoon: Start out playing an SoS-style pool each week. Each week, align teams based on previous pool records. After a set # of weeks, teams are put in divs based on Elo. Div matches & playoffs work like LUTI but with 4 teams per group instead of 6. Thoughts?
The NEW Way to Name Splatoon Roles..?
INKWAVE has REDEFINED the way Splatoon players sort their Roles
Theyve made a system called Range x Role, which covers BOTH the Weapon's strengths and the player's playstyle
I cover it in this π§΅below!
#PinkPuffyPerceptions #compsplatoon
what if instead of low ink we called it low stink #highdivsplatoon
The number of roles and how teams are advertised with them is interesting, as there aren't hard "slots" for team comp building in the INKWAVE scene.
Should also mention I don't speak Japanese, and using translators isn't perfect, but the english terms used by themselves gives me a good gist
Been researching INKWAVE, which is basically a JP SendouQ/LUTI hybrid. Format seems cool and I have some musings on how to implement some of their ideas in the west.
I also think their definitions of range and roles are very neat and show the potential for diversity of thought in #compsplatoon
I've been watching a bunch of clips on YT of Nathan for You and I've never laughed so hard from a TV series. I wish Hulu didn't merge with Disney+ so I don't have to jump through 311 hoops to watch the full series lol
The Edit + Bow combo reminds me of a D1 collegiate team, the Splatlanders. Splatlanders runs a tent too so they're super stally as well
I think a promotion/relegation league would be best since S3NAL and CCA occupy people's weekends so matches could be scheduled whenever. Ladder seeding events could be held on a variety of days/times to accommodate different timezones.
