Really sorry to hear this Rob. It was always such a pleasure to work with you, mate. Wishing you all the best in your hunt

Press and creators, helping out this team and their 2-player co-op adventure where you play a pair of puzzle solving, sentient hands. Give me a shout if you're keen on news/keys and all that good stuff and I'll add you to my listπ«²π«±
Nice to see some meaningful points on the board after the hellish few years we've had as an industry. Big win by and for folks who truly love this medium
Nice one mate
This is good stuff, big congrats to you and the team man
Nerding out on all the Heartagram stuff man, questions I didn't even know I had. Sick to see him in good spirits again
Good shit man
Games press folks, if you're heading over to Gamescom this year give me a shout. Helping sort appts for some great games including:
@pinestudio.bsky.social (Escape Sim 2) @tobsprgames.bsky.social (shapez 2)
And something top-secret from @blackmillgames.bsky.social
DMs are open!
Absurd level of work in this mate, big congrats to you and the team on this one
Full Tim Tam ownership rights and it's a deal
Sping Breakers
Okay, wanted to talk about this sooner but haven't been able to until right now. The TrueTrophies team has been moved to TrueAchievements but as part of the team reduction, my role has had to be cut, so I'm going to be without a job as of early June...
So sorry to hear this, mate. I'll keep you looped in on everything I'm on that might be good fit and fire through as much as I can
Researching the business models of indie publishers recently and the co-ownership model with devs does seem like the best way forward. Can't think of a better foundation for great art than everyone having the same financial stake, trusting in areas of expertise, then letting the creatives run wild
What an absolute win for the industry
Hell yeah man, amazing detailing! Cling film on the whole leg after that?
In celebration of DS2, a bit of DS1 fan art I made in 2019 when I was booting around the UK living off house sits trying to get a foot in the door of the European games industry while keeping my spirits up by reviewing games and making dodgy photoshops
Death Stranding is like BOTW, Phantom Pain, Factorio and Desert Bus planned an elaborate heist for an insanely high end movie script just to add random excerpts from Wikipedia, but the act itself was earnest so you can't help but respect the hell out of it
Haha all credit to @wellplayed.bsky.social for that one! Immediately made me want a Denari Fruju or Juicey though
Lemon telekinesis is π₯Love the creative on this whole thing!
Awesome, excited to see how they evolve that loop. Never realised I'd been craving a game that just stripped away all convenience but it's definitely scratching an itch
I'm early days (maybe 5 hours) but I can definitely feel that already. I've really been enjoying the journeys knowing there's no other way to get to a destination so you just have to suck it up and get on with it haha. There's something so peaceful about just getting stuck in
Finally cracking into Death Stranding and I love that the main loop is just the uneventful parts of road trips you mostly tune out while they're happening and forget entirely once they're done. Like someone decided to gamify everything between the microsleeps and it's somehow weirdly compelling
Seashore War, Forest Interlude, The Fields of Ard Skellig and Roller Mobster ftw
Immense announcement for these folks! Lending a hand with the PR for this one so reach out if you like cruisey transport-core. More soon
I'm for em!
Everything PNG, everything big, everything with a logo-less version is pretty much my request to devs when I first start doing a press kit for them/auditing an existing one. Just makes everyone's lives so much easier
One of my favourite times in my life was in my early 20s, driving around the US and Canada exploring small towns and sleeping in the back of my car in Walmart carparks. Vibes for this one took me right back there so I'm chuffed I get to to work on it.
Full reveal tomorrow!
Mementos from the recent NZ trip include three cans of reduced cream and confusing a bollard for a good mate at Liverpool St due to jetlag
