They see women and girls only as victims but never willing to do anything that would make their daily lives safer because it might slightly inconvenience them.

A photo of a calico cat sleeping against an orange pillow.
Resting up so she can wake me up by tapping my face at 4am for pets.
The guy worked for Blackwater after his military career and posted a list of wars he wished he had fought in, all while having a Nazi tattoo on his chest. What are we doing here.
A photo of a toddler in an urban arrow. He has a yellow helmet and the bike is parked in front of Sweetsboro Pastry Shoppe.
A photo of an urban arrow from the drivers seat. A balance bike and backpack are in the cargo area along with a toddler. The bike is traveling down a concrete path towards a roundabout.
11.4 suburban miles all before the rain! We rolled out and back to Swedesboro to hit the bakery for a birthday cake and then down to the park. #bikesky
To be clear, i have no problem with tweens/teens riding a class 1 or 2 e-bike or scooter. I was riding a PW80 dirtbike in the woods by 3rd grade. My beef is with every single driver speeding and/or sliding through a stop sign behind the wheel of oversized vehicles with poor visibility.
My observation of the effect of the impending ebike ban for kids in Nj - all the kids now have electric scooters, which go the same speed and are not banned. Great job legislators.
A photo of a suburban front lawn with houses in the distance. A triangular birdhouse is visible along with a birdbath and an open book.
Honing my craft of stoop sitting. Lots of kids riding their bikes to school compared to the fall!

Beginning my 3rd shift of the Wait for Spring Peepers 2026 sponsored by two (2) miller high lifes. Turnpike is obnoxiously loud always, gas crisis canβt come soon enough.
Oil crisis? How to best negotiate the Straight of Hormuz.
A photo of a black bicycle with a blue polka dot pannier on a sidewalk. It is sunny and the bike is casting a shadow.
What gas crisis? Also I am horribly out of shape its been a while since I rode an acoustic bike. π #bikesky
How an electric bike can protect your money as another oil shock hits.
The argument for fossil fuels is ending, but so too is the argument for relying on cars for journeys of under five miles.
Here's some numbers to convince:

A photo of a quote in the book Walkable City Rules that says the following: βAs David Owen notes in Green Metropolis: The critical energy drain in a typical American suburb is not the Hummer in the driveway; it's everything else the Hummer makes possible-the oversized houses and irrigated yards, the network of new feeder roads and residential streets, the costly and inefficient outward expansion of the power grid, the duplicated stores and schools, the two-hour 21 solo commutes."
Gas prices donβt matter as much if you donβt have to drive. Allowing dense development also maximizes green space preservation.
I need a step through bike thats under $500 not a coaster. Any recommendations? Bonus if itβs cute. #bikesky
FYI the 1970s oil crisis was the impetus for Copenhagen turning into a cycling city
A nanking cherry tree stem that is about the diameter of a pencil that has been chewed by a rascally rabbit. There is straw around the bottom of the plant.
I have never seen rabbits in this area of the neighborhood and in the last two weeks theyβve nailed my hazelnuts and nanking cherry. There also a bunch of fluff like one got got by an owl so hopefully that keeps happening.
New lifer! A small flock of sandhill cranes just flew overhead. Its a big migration day, several large flocks of snow geese and canada geese have passed by as wellπ #birdsky
Teens never get to be dipshits & do questionably dangerous things because theyre constantly monitored & every interaction with peers has been chaperoned their entire lives. It makes them weak adults! Let kids learn to do dangerous stuff carefully so they can drink cheap booze in the woods as teens!
A photo of the book Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez.
In this year of our cat, 2026, the world would be a much different place if women were treated as equals to men. This is a great book to read if you think that we currently are. #internationalwomensday
When men's workload is automated, it's genius; when women's workload is automated it's a character flaw and morally questionable.

Letβs talk about Graham Platnerβs Big Lie, finally. In 2009, at the height of the Gulf War, the Marines barred him from active duty. Platner claims it was his forearm tattoos. But his one forbidden tattoo was the Nazi symbol on his chest. He knew - and he left the Marines rather than give it up. 1/
I think I just set a personal best for plant purchases. Goji cuttings ordered 3/1, delivered at 1:07pm and in the ground by 3pm. Plus I got my elderberry cuttings in the ground that I had ordered a month ago. πͺπͺπͺ Iβm running out of room so I may start guerrilla planting around the neighborhood. π π©βπΎπ³
If anyone is going to the @njbwc.org summit tomorrow Iβll be there! π²πΆββοΈ
