So here's what's frustrating about this response, completely ignoring that the person who wrote it inaccurately described Cormac McCarthy's sentence as "clunky" or a "mistake."
It says I knew which one was human, or I was lucky at guessing... with no possibility that I liked human writing better.
Whatβs fucking enraging about this is that every lovely turn of phrase the AI churns out is human-authored. Google each fragment of the below - βforged in dying stars,β βcreated in stellar furnaces,β βthe universe is not indifferent to us,β βimplicated in something vastβ - and youβll find a source.
5/5 human, baby. AI's tics ("It's not X. It's Y."), its lack of surprise (AI would never write of a fish "he hung a grunting weight"), its sentimentality, all make for recognizable and poor writing. It's better at genres where a low-entropy style of smooth compression is ideal, like a brief summary.
The New York Times trying to get people to say that AI writes better than Cormac McCarthy is such a repulsive act of literary evil itβs impossible to comprehend.
We should care if things have meaning. Or if theyβre good or bad.
This is such humiliating propaganda lol. I got all the human ones right and they went βlucky guess. Probably just noticed which ones are extremely bad πβ
I just truly chose the ones actually saying anything of substance. Itβs so easy.
WHO CARES.
I donβt think the opinions of a massive sprawl of dipshits has any real bearing on by on what I should accept in my life.
Historian of French Revolution here to say that in periods like this, squeamish compromisers do as much to drive radicalization as do ideologues. If you keep making excuses for the unfit king, eventually folks come for you and him.
Crazy we get called ghetto for every little thing and upper middle class white people do the most ratchet shit and it gets praised as praxis
Superman in space looking serious. "If you knew how you are loved, not one of you would raise a hand in rage again." This is from JLA/Hitman #2, written by Garth Ennis, drawn by John McCrea.
When I see people fighting over who gets to fuck Jabba the Hutt's hot son
A four panel meme from The Avengers End Game where Gamora asks Thanos if he accomplished his goals and what it cost. He replies he did and it cost him everything I changed it so Gamora is asking if he got to pretend it was socially acceptable to call things βretardedβ again, Thanos answers yes and it cost him everything. Literally. He says heβs eating dog food and asks a toddler Gamora if he can borrow $100
duh i killed some people as oopsie
You have yelled at the BlueSky CEO too much and she is stepping down. I hope you are happy. They are giving the job to Bluesky's 2023 arch nemesis dril.
lol
We are all simply just having so much fun in America.
it is genuinely very funny how many big name/shop analysts have gone on tv in the last 24-48hr and been like "man we didn't think this administration would be so stupid" like, come on
Yeah it sucks!!!!!!! It's what made Twitter so intoxicating, the power of our collective feeling really moved the needle! And right now that shit is gone!
Nixon today would have stuck the fuck around, maybe done like eight more Watergates at the actual Watergate hotel to prove a point.
Feels unfair Trump doesn't just go away if we hate him enough. And I know that SEEMS dumb, but it really is how things used to work in America!!!
They should make a Wario who has an opinion on Iran.
The smartest take to have on a horrific war that will kill thousands and bankrupt us is... bemusement. Folks! They're bemused!
βTehran is burning. And smoke has filled the streets. Itβs impossible to drive out of the city right now and even with the windows closed, heavy smoke is making its way inside."
Read every word.
Incredible framing lol. Oh those opportunistic democrats!!!!!!
I love when a weak pun here gets thousands of likes. Yessss you're Uncle John's Bathroom Reader now yessssss

Guy who gets paid 8 figures: actually itβs fine
republicans have literally made everything worse and harder and more terrible over the course of my entire life and somehow* they keep coming back to power bc of our feckless corporate press and a weak willed opposition π

the destruction of the entire worlds economy is a small price to pay for the massive victory of the son of the guy america assassinated to take over as leader
Tweet from Jacob N. Kornbluh: "Jewish People Policy Institute survey of 692 American Jews with relatively strong ties to the Jewish community, Jewish identity, or Israel: 68% support the U.S. decision to go to war against Iran, while 26% oppose it."
If you dig into this poll, reputedly the first poll of American Jews on the Iran War, it is not intended to represent all American Jews, but "connected" Jews, defined in the way this organization wants to define them. It's a poll intended to produce a certain result.
