That struck me too. I suspect 4% of any large group of people are just very confused about a great many things.

People march through Birmingham city centre behind a banner with a raised fist depicted, that reads: WOMEN AGAINST THE FAR RIGHT. TOGETHER WE RISE.
Today, on International Women’s Day, people marched against the poisonous politics of the far right in cities across the country. Including Birmingham.
Damn you got us. Yep that's exactly what we think about every day. And none of us ever walk or cycle we drive everywhere as quick as possible and laugh like Bond villains. Carry on I'm sure this tone will carry the day once you hit peak sanctimonious. 🙄
you haven't. But accusing people who are actually sympathetic to the over-arching aim of being liars when they disagree is, again, a weak political stategy.
You be you. Unpleasant as that must be for those who know you.
ok fine. Whatever.
I can. My mother who is 89 cannot. And she has many appointments these days. With these social skills you aren't going to get anywhere. But hey you be you.
actually a ridiculously ableist comment. Not everyone can walk or cycle.
when there was discussion of phase 1 opinion was divided. We are used to it. No sign of support for phase 2 because for us it was dire.
true, its also the area my socially liberal relatively enlightened neighbours live in, none of them keen either. You didn't carry people with you.
not with my mum I couldn't
Sorry but I walk, ride a bike and drive (and vote Green). But LTN phase 2 was not extremely moderate. I'd only have been able to get out of my area in one direction, straight onto a really busy A road. And I've got an 89 year old mum here who can only walk up to 100 yards. It was too much.
How strange. They want the area right next to them to be emptied of people. It's almost as if they will move their own deranged settlers in.
When does this vile individual have to stand for re-election?
Birminghm people are uniting against the politics of division.
BrumCJC have teamed up with Brummies United Against Racism and Brum Together to organise a coach from Moseley to the Together Against The Far Right demonstration. Everyone is welcome to travel with us.

The progress of the anti-vaccine, anti-science movement has been so dramatic since 2020 that they now more or less in charge of US health policy. And for companies like Moderna, profitability will always come 1st.
if only there had been someone who could have stood in Gorton. Idk a popular mayor or something.
all of the evidence is that immigrants do contribute massively, the argument is a dog whistle implying that they don't.
I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

You need a nationwide strike. Speaking out won't stop them.
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

This is not law enforcement. This is murder.
Sickening.

A scene suggestive of the nativity story in silhouette - image of a man leading a woman, who is seated on a donkey, carrying a baby, with a bright star above - with a modern colourful cityscape (Birmingham?) in the background. Horrific, disgusting, inexcusable, antisemitic
We’re 👏 Not 👏 Going 👏 Anywhere 👏
Starbucks knows where we stand. We’ve been clear and consistent on what we need to succeed: more take-home pay, better hours, resolving legal issues. Until then, you’ll see us and our allies on the picket line.

Really low grade. And starting off with the Sparts is playing very safe. Whatever the faults, YP actually hasn't blown up on the launch-pad. Anything remotely insightful to offer? Or just warmed over ageing cynicism?
