Always the way, isn't it? Much the same with her - it was on the flat plateau bit near the top of the lift. Hundreds of km at speed, and fell over at walking pace.
Herself tore her ACL right at the top of Nant-Rouge, on the last but one day of the season. We'd been skiing all season...
The chap who took her to Signal in the rescue sledge behind a skidoo had more than a whiff of booze about him!
Les Contamines remains one of my favourite places to ski. Always better snow than Megève, and far less crowded. Could do with some lift upgrades, and I hope it's never linked into St Gervais - that would ruin it.
Ah yes - after all that time around Megève, everywhere is cheap! 😂
Just learning the Pyrenees places now! Bagnères de Luchon is close, Ax-les-Thermes closer still. Hoping for a good winter...
