SWISS A330 Retrofit Project: New First & Business Class, 1.5-Ton Weight
SWISS Airbus A330-300s are getting all new cabins as of 2026, including new first & business class seats. Here's what to expect.
SWISS is installing a 1.5-ton counterweight in the tail of its A330s because the new first class suites are too heavy for the front of the plane. Wild engineering workaround. The full SWISS Senses retrofit kicks off in earnest mid-2026, one plane every six weeks.

Post China is probably a bit early. I would wait until after Japan, assume that Bahrain and Saudi are off, and go down to either Barcelona or Paul Ricard to test some options out with the teams - as well as giving the likes of AM some mileage to help sort out their issues.

The last regβs were probably not conceived correctly and the cars were just too big. The new regs were conceived in a different environment and they possibly went too far to appease OEMβs, but Iβm sure the current issues can be resolved over the next couple of years.

The pragmatic approach being, Melbourne was OK but there are a few issues. Letβs see what the next few races bring and make a decision then. Making knee-jerk reactions isnβt the most clever thing to do.

That's absolutely fair, but with F1 in its current state, having OEM's is essentially academic. It's more important to have people watching and circuits/countryies paying.
