But who will be prosecuted under this fascist government? When they have their folks in charge?

Love when the head of a union just back something thatβs going to be devastating to every single members job. Not just of their own union but all the other unions in the rail industry.

#OtD 12 Mar 1990 the Capitol Crawl took place when disabled people got out of wheelchairs and crawled up the steps of the US Capitol. They were protesting the stalling of the Americans with Disabilities Act banning discrimination against the disabled stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/1252...
For trans people, online resources and community are lifelines. The spread of age verification laws combined with anti-trans ID laws will block access to these lifelines. This is by design.

The US is at war and repression at home is going to get worse.
I'm old enough to remember during the Iraq war the FBI infiltrating quaker meetings and vegan potlucks and cracking down on anti-war groups and outspoken Muslim leaders.
The US surveillance state has grown exponentially since then.

#OtD 8 Mar 1926 hundreds of striking textile workers clashed with police in Clifton, NJ, as they attempted to picket the Forstmann and Huffmann Mills. Police blocked the strikers and punched them, so they yelled "shame!" and "scab!" at working mills. stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/1083...
do yourself a favor folks, if you're 26 or younger, make a plan to dodge the draft. it's not making the problem about you -- the child you don't go overseas to kill will thank you for it in fact. and if it doesn't come to pass, better to have a plan and not need it than need it and not have it
The amount of pseudoscience in that franchise is making the training staff of the New York Mets from 2013-2024 look competent. And this is a Mets fan talking ffs.

Actually I stand corrected, Knoxville is an hour away and 40+ miles by road.
Gatlinburg is definitely more limited but has an advantage of not being super far from Knoxville. Which has more hotel availability. And Gatlinburg has somewhat of a transit system but itβs strictly tourist based. Like Disney worldβs bus system.
Well, the Reading and northern have advertised their excursions as alternatives to parking in Jim Thorpe (maybe to make sure theyβre not taxed as an amusement) but it is limited to mainly their system (Reading and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area)
Itβs wayyy outside the box but people have their limits when it comes to traffic.
I mean yes, but they also have such horrible transportation problems that folks actively avoid those towns. And probably trying to get dumb tourist dollars might be a reasonable sell.
Iβm willing to bet money that Jim Thorpe, PAβs residents would love a congestion charge based on the traffic in the town alone. Possibly Gatlinburg, TN as well.
