Watch out for this Nazi loving org calling itself:
Showing Up For Racial Justice” SURJ
They’re here on blue sky..,
Boots/no Boots isn’t a distinction I’ve heard anyone make before 🤦🏻♀️
Trump doesn’t need approval for Iran war with ‘no boots on the ground,’ Susan Collins says www.bangordailynews.com/2026/03/13/c...
Fucking repugnant
We are in so much trouble and unfortunately, so is the rest of the world
Yeah, I can see that. Wishing you the best of luck as you try to decipher women’s clothing sizing. Also fair warning, if “our” clothes even have pockets they seem to be deliberately sized/shaped NOT to hold anything you might want to carry.
When you’re ignorant, you either announce that you would like to commit a war crime or you don’t know that it’s a war crime. Will someone please tell this man what “no quarter”means?
My old Lab would come back home covered with icicles in February but try to get him to go outside on a hot July day with a light sprinkle of rain —no way
A pillar of Portland’s working waterfront, Becky’s Diner has been serving up delicious food to both regulars and visitors for 35 years!
Congratulations on this milestone — here’s to many more years to come.
Jordan Wood did handle this well
She might as well have just outright said that she’s willing to prosecute people whether or not there’s sufficient evidence to support that prosecution
Sizing is really incredibly awful for women’s clothes. Nothing is even close to being consistent or reflects how our bodies are. You have to try on everything.
Ha!

Wow
(1) The accused declared, ordered, or otherwise indicated that there shall be no survivors or surrender accepted; (2) The accused thereby intended to threaten an adversary or to conduct hostilities such that there would be no survivors or surrender accepted; (3) It was foreseeable that circumstances would be such that a practicable and reasonable ability to accept surrender would exist; (4) The accused was in a position of effective command or control over the subordinate forces to which the declaration or order was directed; and (5) The conduct took place in the context of and was associated with hostilities.
✋ Former USG war crimes lawyer here.
Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning:
Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime.
And recognized as such by the US Government.
From DoD's Manual for Military Commissions.
Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.
Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.
But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.
Not even the Nazis expressly announced they were committing war crimes. Indeed, at Nuremberg war crimes were denied.
But here, openly, the US Secretary for Defense is explicitly admitting to committing war crimes.
New, at Can We Still Govern?: Christian Gläßel and
@ascharpf.bsky.social have studied the formation of secret police in other countries. They explain the parallels with Trump's immigration enforcement.
The key factor is career incentives not ideology. 🧵

Ahhhhhhh🩷
Oh to be a little Tardigrade walking across a microscope slide. 🫧🐻🧪
Nice catch from @mainenewsroom.com (also spotted by @jamesxmyall.bsky.social): A federal agent told Maine cops they were leaving the state -- because of weather -- a FULL WEEK before Susan Collins implied she was responsible for their exit.
Typical self-aggrandizing Collins maneuver. #MEpolitics
Graphic from the New York Times 16 and counting oil and cargo ships are growing targets in war with Iran with a map of the Persian Gulf, indicating where 16 ships have been struck.
1967 poster war is not healthy for children and other living things
No matter what your priority is this “excursion” of Trump’s is not turning out so well
The scope of the problem: helpful graphic from @nytimes.com of oil and cargo ships targeted as of March 12
Only the best of the best, eh?
I know this community very well. The Shenandoah club the Temple Israel statement refers to as providing food and shelter during this attack is the club established by Iraqi Chaldeans. This is really beautiful interfaith solidarity in action.
The reality is the American working class now consists less of masculine industries like manufacturing & steel mills, & more of jobs in the female-dominated service sector. Less than half of American workers are women, but they are the majority of the low-wage workforce
[Vote Janet Mills for Maine]
Having a hard time understanding how 150 elementary school kids are the “right people” to kill. If this is the GOP, they’re a bunch of sadistic sociopaths.
