A few days ago I visited the Merced National Wildlife Refuge in the early morning for the annual bird migration.
The Water Bar was THE place to be last night. Word got out. In addition to the brief inter-species meeting, an endangered, rarely seen species showed up and enjoyed a restorative libation... Last night was the first time that The Water Bar has been honored with a visit from a double-headed ungulate.

I never realized that ladybugs huddle together. From what Iβve read, they do this for warmth and for safety from predators. When the morning sun touched and warmed them, they started to move and fly.
It looks like my little resident skunk has the zoomies...
Awful tragedy, for everyone, including wildlife...
