“Truly anything Ginevra?” He said with a taunt, dropping her desperate face in an instant. Leaving her to collapse onto the stone floor with a sob and a nod.

That was their beginning - a girl left alone by Hogwarts to die in the Chamber and the ghost who became her teacher.

His footsteps were swift and cold fingers gripped her chin - brown eyes tinged with red met hers as he lifted her face upward. A thumb gently wiped away a tear and Ginny sunk into his movement. This was better, better than Harry ignoring her. Tom he understood. Tom took care of her and noticed her.
