Breakcore, of course, I swear there is at least already an album in the genre with this subject matter.

Iβll dm you on discord!
2/2 that people shouldnβt be limited to approaching it purely through modular synthesis
Not all of it is 100% modular, but Iβve used vcv rack for a good portion of it. Iβve always been under the impression that as flashcore is intentionally rooted in the increasing capabilities of computers (as mentioned in the flashcore manifesto) 1/2
Have you listened to my flashcore stuff before, actually? : 3
I was looking forward to hearing something that would become a new favorite, but that didnβt happen and Iβm a bit sad about it.
Iβm really not tying to shit on Aaronβs work here at all, itβs an enjoyable album, it just didnβt meet the extremely high expectations I had.
I guess Iβm more so expressing a mismatch in how much I expected to enjoy the album than I am even saying that I didnβt enjoy it, cause I did enjoy it! Just not nearly as much as most of the rest of Aaronβs work or most of the rest of the flashcore thatβs out there
I get that Iβm allowed to dislike some art, and I donβt even need a justification for it, Iβm just surprised because I adore a lot of Aaronβs work, and I adore so much of the flashcore thatβs out there, I was really thinking I was about to step into something mind blowing, but Iβm a bit disapionted
Of course Iβve heard that split! Itβs pretty dang good! Itβs been a while since I listened though.
And Iβve heard other modular flashcore stuff that totally blows me away in both technical prowess and sonic appeal
Like reasonably technically impressive, yeah, but I donβt find that making stuff like that on modular is AAALL that difficult, unless Iβm really missing something about the production techniques being used. Like it might be expensive in real hardware but I can pretty easily make similar stuff in vcv
I just realized I wrote Venetianβs snares lmaoooo
Like am I missing something here??
I usually really like Venetianβs snares work and I usually really like flashcore, but I just listened to the βher tears turned into blah blah blahβ album and I am not all that impressed, tbh.
Agreed depends on the sub-genre of rap for sure, I also absolutely agree a ton of hip-hop/rap is low key, relaxed, and laid back. There are a ton genres that are consistently more energetic, intense, and maximalist than hip-hop and rap.
Breakcore is certianly up there, especially reizokore.
Igorrr is a great rec for people just getting into breakcore
Oh shit I also made carnitas recently
One of my tracks from the new Maru-So & Lolicomplex v2 compilation up now on soundcloud!
#breakcore #mashcore #lolicore #reizokore
I used to have ADHD but then I listened to this set
youtu.be/DDFNgs7gp8M?...
Hope it doesnβt come across that way, and thank you for checking out my work! I appreciate that π₯Ί
Totally fair, i donβt mean to rush yaβll btw
Yeah I think it has some influence, folks in the breakcore/lolicore scene (or what later became it) have always had ties to other forms of experimental/extreme music. Have you heard of princess army wedding combat before?
Hahahaha I knew it
Goreshit starting out as a black metal project?
Iβd love to hear your thoughts on some of the stuff I sent if youβve had a chance to listen to ant of it =w=
What artists/tracks have you been listening to? Iβm a huge fan of breakcore personally =w=
Have you heard of extratone before? Itβs not explicitly breakbeat music but it has connections
Do you think part of it is also accessibility to improved technology allowing more granular control over high bpm tracks within production?
I have tried some of the others but none have grabbed my attention like kingdom has
