It's the reposts that I find a problem. They bring in a whole audience who haven't read the thread they're replying to, and often don't, and just reply. That's where I think I see the most egregious battering of people who just maybe said a silly thing.

The constant pile-ons among people who likely agree on about 90% of things is maybe the only valid criticism of this userbase.

I really do want to think the best of people, but that thread shows a staggering lack of just...basic knowledge about military affairs. The comparison with the Atlantic Convoys (where we lost so, SO many ships too), the idea that radar/sonar across the entire strait would prevent strikes, etc.
