Proportionally, at the same number of followers on any previous platform I’ve used I might as well be invisible here. even a tiny account on Tumblr or even Twitter can find their fandom better. Idk why people are picking me apart over this as if they know my experience better than I do.

That’s a very mean-spirited thing to say. I’ve been regularly making full use of Bsky’s search functions for over a year on this platform, sadly cannot find what I’m looking for. I am hoping as more people join here that will change.

I’m not sure what you’re saying is the truth? All you did was put words in my mouth. There’s terrible stuff on -every- platform, always has and always will be. Bsky is far from virtuous. All Im trying to do is find my people on the internet.

Ftr I do hope this works as we have seen in the past with Brazil but I have major sideeye when a govt uses their power to ban a whole platform esp in a time where they are trying to remove rights to privacy and introduce digital ID

Oh pshh the market is oversaturated with that kind of art! (Ofc art is subjective but to me industry style is so mid) I think a lot of aspiring artists think of industry style as the pinnacle of one’s art journey but it’s really just a style that fits a role. However if that style makes you happy then go for it, but never feel like you need to fit into it! I think the more you focus on your own quirks and style personality you’re faaaar beyond that triple A game style, and you’ll end up with something super unique (which you already have anyway) that you will fall in love with.

It does suck when you want to look at ppls art tho! But if it’s making you feel worse then that’s not helpful! It’s good to have a drive to improve, but not at the cost of burnout. You are not a failure! And tbh even when you do improve a bunch you’ll still feel this way anyway. Its the artist curse

I draw out of love, I learn along the way, and the rest comes naturally. For me at least. I know that if I am not enjoying myself, something is wrong and it needs to be removed from my life. I know that if I am not happy I simply cannot improve.

Aw I struggle with this too, and tbh a lot of the time I simply can’t look at other ppls art bc of it. I have had sooo much life BS stagnate my art and I get that insecurity so badly, but I know I can only do my best & go at my own pace. art is more about self discovery than getting gud
