🚨 It looks like the UK government is gearing up to upend copyright law in favour of AI companies, legalising the theft of their work.
This is despite creatives' huge protests, and despite previous proposals being roundly rejected by the public.
Please spread the word.

Wildlife suffers horribly, not only from large oil spills but also from regular, smaller spills of oil & chemicals from drilling operations in UK waters. You can read more about the harms fossil fuel extraction causes wildlife in @oceanauk.bsky.social's report 👇

Improving Air Quality in Schools: Leaders Making it Happen Improving air quality in schools Leaders making it happen UNISON NASUWT Wednesday, 11 March, 4:00 Forthcoming Improving air quality in schools pm Improving Air Quality in Schools: Leaders Making it Happen Exploring the experiences of schools on their journey to improve indoor air for students and staff. Last year, our joint education union webinar looked at the science behind air filtration. When we breathe polluted air, chemicals and particulates get into our lungs, enter the bloodstream and are carried to internal organs, where they can cause a serious impact on our health. Children are particularly sensitive to the dangerous effects of toxic air pollution, with asthma rising significantly and concerns about the long-term impact of respiratory viruses. Research has shown cimnin actions - ventilate and filter - result in clean. com aod have the potential

Shaco the cat looks at the camera, he is not amused by our antics as he knows he is a majestic cat with wonderful whiskers and far above our silly human nonsense.
Shaco knows you were about to scroll right past him and he’s not mad at you, he’s just disappointed.
With 13 years of sunbeam-earned wisdom, Shaco is prepared to forgive if you visit him in person (and bring a catnip mouse toy, his favorite).
We’re open for adoptions from 11am–6pm!

Only 26% of voters intend to vote Reform. Yet, that would be enough for them to be elected to government. 74% of people's wishes would count for nothing because of our ridiculous voting system, but a move to proportional representation is not included in The Elections Bill.
Important paper. Schools are high-risk environments for respiratory disease transmission MAINLY because classrooms are underventilated. This problem has a workable solution - it just needs political will. Air quality is as important as water quality for public health. MT @martinmckee.bsky.social
Gouda the cat emerges from his bed while the sun shines on his whiskers. He is curious, ready for breakfast and wondering why we're taking a photo instead of serving him his snacks.
Good morning from Gouda! He heard the crack of wet food cans and is officially up, glowing, and present for breakfast! 😹
Ready to have your heart melted by this gorgeous, 3 year old cat? Come meet Gouda today! We’re open 11am–6pm for adoptions, no appointment needed.
