America has a fundamental lack of understanding of what constitutes a 'socialist' or 'socialism'.

I don't think such events are breaking through with the public. The US is the global reserve currency on economic AND political grounds. Each chip away at that status spells doom for the US economy and its politico-military position in the world. Debt affords the US its military spending.

So, undoubtedly, it's true--the liberal state has proven a less-than-optimal vehicle for social justice. But it holds out one basic promise in two simple words: Due. Process. Lose that, and the rule of law that it accompanies, and you can kiss every other social justice project goodbye.

That SCOTUS is even taking this up for review does not bode well. They should have let the circuit ruling stand. It seems as if they are moving against lower courts to further enable administration immigration actions. How much of this is just Roberts trying to avoid a direct clash with Trump?
