Addendum - given the warehouse settings, human trafficking plot, and Milla's aforementioned ex-soldier backstory, I don't think it's too far off to describe #Protector as "Imagine a Steven Seagal movie if the star wasn't sleepwalking through the whole thing."

#Protector is the best Milla Jovovich action flick in years, with Milla's ex-soldier going full mama grizzly to rescue her kidnapped daughter. Excellent gunplay and fight scenes orchestrated by OG Liu Kang Ho-Sung Pak, and a clever (albeit heartbreaking) twist.

The fact that it was ever taken remotely seriously to start with will baffle me until the day I die.
Especially with the character of GL, and as a parallel to the criticism of Snyder's movies as being too drab and colorless.
Which, if I live to be 500 years old, I will never understand how THAT narrative got started or was ever taken the slightest bit seriously.
BTW, that post isn't meant to be a flippant dismissal of Lanterns, which is actually the DCU project I'm most interested in. Mostly, it's just me jumping in on the observation of the Lanterns trailer and overall marketing being decidedly less green/colorful than one would expect...
