Remove right wing ideology from the Americans psyche and slowly move away from unfettered capitalism and back to a system where Musk, Bezos, Zuck, Buffett all pay what they would've paid in tax back in the 1940's. It's not something that can happen over a short period. It takes a generation at least

COL depends on various factors and its not $25/Hr across the board. In Ohio, Indiana and many Midwest and southern states, $17/hr as a minimum wage would be welcomed as a starting point. In California, $25/hr only gets you affordable living in places like El Centro or, like, Blythe.

Last night, every Senate Democrat voted for my amendment calling for a $17 an hour federal minimum wage while every Republican but 1 opposed it. The movement to raise the minimum wage to a living wage is growing.

In 2025, a job must lift you out of poverty, not keep you in it.

Democratic leadership in Congress presided of losing the House, Senate, White House and popular vote to MAGA.

The Democratic Party currently has a 29% approval rating.

Senator Schumer is canceling public appearances, fearing protest.

Yet the entire leadership remains intact?!

Primary every one of them and every corporate-backed Democratic member of Congress.

Working class Americans from all backgrounds deserve a political party that fights for them.

The best time for Senator Schumer and Representative Jeffries to step down from their roles in leadership was immediately after Democrats lost the House, Senate, White House and the popular vote in November, which hadn’t happened in 20 years.

The second best time for them to step down would be right now, after allowing Republicans to run over them in budget negotiations.

As Republicans hold a trifecta, it was their Party’s responsibility to pass a budget and get the votes to keep the government running, not the Democratic Party.

Yet, under the leadership of both Representative Jeffries and Senator Schumer, Democrats are yet again being pushed around by Republicans, which will result in working class Americans being harmed by the Republican Party’s budget.

As I travel this country, I hear from people and overwhelmingly, working class Americans are growing frustrated with the feeble leadership of the Democratic Party.

People want an end to the billionaire influence over our politics, universal healthcare, tuition-free college, living wages, housing for all, making corporations and the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share of taxes, and a political party that fights for these things.

It’s time for, not just a change in leadership, but a new direction.

never thought i’d see so many liberals this upset at the dems. it at least makes me happy that the voters, and even high profile liberals on here still want to fight. (except matt yglesias)

The Army just deleted without explanation its page about the 442nd β€œGO FOR BROKE” infantry regimentβ€”the Japanese American WW2 unit that is the most decorated in US military history.

It’s going to take a little time, but these people are going to go bye bye. Schumer, Jeffries and the centrist liberal guard is failing the same way the Paul Ryan wing of the Republican Party did.

Chelsea has done fine with young players. They have the youngest squad in England’s top two divisions by a long shot and they’re currently in a champions league spot. Don’t fall for doomer and media gloom

I don’t believe MAGA regrets their vote much at all. I think what you’re seeing are outliers. It will take much longer than a month and a half for any sort of buyer’s remorse to emerge in large numbers

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to β€œthe left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

$1 billion in cuts, hurting American farmers and American children.

Yet, this President continues to send billions to Israel, while Netanyahu has an active arrest warrant.

I don’t ever want to hear β€œAmerica First” from these fools ever again.

Newsom is an awful man without a single principled bone in his body but I am actually genuinely shocked by how terrible his political instincts are in this moment

the base is screaming for someone to stand up to this fascist kleptocracy and he thinks they want him to pal around with the fascists

Our seniors have paid into a system to ensure they have money later in life, you’re damn right folks entitled to that money.

Indiana man pardoned for Jan. 6 crimes is killed in traffic stop shooting by deputy Matthew Huttle, 42, pleaded guilty to entering the U.S. Capitol and was on supervised release before President Donald Trump pardoned him last week.

Something tells me his loved ones wish he was still in prison.
